Animation & VFX Course for Kapurthala Students — MITS Academy 2026
Kapurthala sits roughly between MITS Academy's two Punjab centres, but the distances are not equal — it is important to be upfront about this rather than let students guess. MITS Academy Jalandhar (65 Garha Road, opposite PIMS, Choti Baradari Part II) is about 20 km from Kapurthala — a 20–25 minute drive. MITS Academy Amritsar, by contrast, is about 85 km away — over an hour and a half by road. For a Kapurthala student weighing where to train, Jalandhar is clearly the closer, more practical option for Animation & VFX training.
MITS Academy Jalandhar runs the same 7-month Animation & VFX programme as our Amritsar centre: Concept Art, 3D Modelling, Rigging, Animation, and Compositing, taught on industry software — Maya, Substance Painter, Houdini, and Nuke. The Jalandhar centre launched in January 2026 and currently holds a 5.0★ Google rating (184 reviews).
Because this course is hands-on and software-intensive, a short, manageable commute matters more than for a purely theory-based subject — which is another reason Jalandhar is the sensible choice for Kapurthala students over the much longer trip to Amritsar. This page covers Kapurthala-specific logistics; for the full syllabus and fee table, see the main Animation & VFX programme page.
Why Kapurthala students choose MITS Academy
4 ways Kapurthala students access MITS
Pick the format that fits your schedule.
Weekend batch at Jalandhar (most popular for Kapurthala)
A 20–25 minute drive or bus ride from Kapurthala to Garha Road, Jalandhar. Saturday + Sunday sessions give full lab and software access without a long commute.
Fixed weekday batch
Given the short 20 km distance, some Kapurthala students manage a regular weekday morning or evening batch at the Jalandhar centre — a much more realistic option here than it would be for the 85 km trip to Amritsar.
Why not commute to Amritsar instead?
At 85 km, the Amritsar centre is more than four times farther from Kapurthala than Jalandhar. For a lab- and software-heavy course like Animation & VFX, the shorter Jalandhar commute makes consistent attendance far more practical.
