Basic networking and Linux command-line familiarity is helpful but not mandatory. MITS Academy starts with a 2-week foundation module on networking (TCP/IP, OSI model, subnetting) and Linux basics before moving to ethical hacking. Students from BCA, BSc IT, and even non-IT backgrounds from Amritsar and Jalandhar have successfully completed this course.

You will master the full offensive and defensive stack: Kali Linux, Nmap, Metasploit, Burp Suite, Wireshark, Nessus, SQLMap, and John the Ripper. For the 2026 curriculum we have added AI-era modules — detecting LLM-generated phishing emails, using ChatGPT for reconnaissance scripting, and AI-assisted SOC analysis using Microsoft Sentinel.

MITS Academy prepares you for CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker) by EC-Council, CompTIA Security+, and eJPT (eLearnSecurity Junior Penetration Tester). We also guide you through building a TryHackMe profile with 100+ rooms completed — recruiters increasingly value this over paper certifications for entry-level SOC and pentest roles.

MITS Academy Cyber Security graduates typically land offers of ₹18,000–₹30,000/month in their first role — SOC Analyst, Junior Penetration Tester, or Network Security Engineer. Remote roles with Delhi/Bengaluru companies often start at ₹25,000–₹40,000/month. With 2 years of experience and CEH certification, salaries reach ₹5–8 LPA.

Yes — our dedicated cybersecurity lab has Kali Linux workstations, a segmented practice network with intentionally vulnerable VMs (Metasploitable, DVWA, VulnHub machines), and isolated attack-defence environments. You can practice real penetration testing without risk to live systems. Lab access continues for 3 months after course completion.

We run dedicated mock interview sessions for SOC Analyst and Security Analyst roles and connect students with our hiring partners including IT security firms and MSSPs.

The Cyber Security course (6 months) is broader — covering theory, compliance (ISO 27001), risk management, network defence, and ethical hacking fundamentals. The Cyber Security Tools course is pure lab — 100% hands-on with Kali Linux, Burp Suite, Metasploit, and CTF challenges. Most serious students take both as a combo, which MITS Academy offers at a bundled fee.

Yes — we regularly take career switchers from diploma holders, B.Com, and BA backgrounds in Amritsar and Jalandhar. The foundation module covers everything from scratch. What matters is logical thinking and curiosity — not your degree. Several of our best-placed graduates are arts/commerce graduates who switched careers through this course.

We offer morning (10 AM–1 PM), evening (5 PM–8 PM), and weekend (Sat–Sun, 10 AM–4 PM) batches for the Cyber Security course at both our Amritsar and Jalandhar centres. Evening and weekend batches are popular with working professionals and college students. New batches start every 6–8 weeks.
