  • Week 4 — Databases & Serverless + Month 1 Mini-Project: RDS, DynamoDB basics, a hello-world Lambda function exposed via API Gateway, and your first mini-project — a web page with a database, inside a custom VPC.

  • Week 6 — Security, Monitoring & Cost: The shared responsibility model, CloudWatch alarms, Cost Explorer, and an IAM security audit checklist.

Two concrete deliverables: a Month 1 mini-project (a simple web app with a database, deployed inside your own custom VPC) and a Week 8 capstone — a full beginner 3-tier AWS project with a GitHub repository, an architecture diagram, a rough cost estimate, and a working live demo. These are what you show in interviews — not just a certificate.

What jobs can this realistically lead to?

Being honest about this matters more than overselling it. A 2-month Cloud Practitioner-level course by itself typically supports:

  • Cloud Support Associate or IT Support Engineer (cloud-aware) roles — entry-level positions where basic AWS literacy is a strong differentiator over candidates with none
  • Junior Cloud/DevOps Trainee positions, especially when combined with another core skill
  • A genuine head-start if you go on to Solutions Architect or DevOps specialisation later
