GNDU is one of Punjab's top universities, but its on-campus AI/ML curriculum lags 2 years behind 2026 industry hiring patterns. Most GNDU CSE final-year students cannot clear a basic AI engineer interview at a Mohali product startup. MITS Academy's 6-month AI/ML programme is built specifically to close that gap — covering classical ML, deep learning, GenAI, LangChain, RAG pipelines, and fine-tuning with LoRA.
For GNDU students, MITS Academy is 8 km from campus — about 15-20 minutes by auto/cab. Weekend batches (Sat-Sun 10 AM-1 PM) are designed to fit around GNDU's weekday schedule. Many GNDU 3rd / 4th year students take MITS AI/ML in parallel with their degree, graduating job-ready instead of needing another year of self-study.
AI & Machine Learning + Guru Nanak Dev University (GNDU)
GNDU graduates ~3,500 CSE/IT students per year. Most face an AI skills gap. MITS Amritsar at 8 km is the only ISO-certified institute serving them with a 2026-current AI/ML curriculum.
GNDU CSE / IT final-year students, MSc Data Science students, faculty wanting AI tool fluency.

Frequently asked questions
Can I take MITS AI/ML course while still studying at GNDU?
Yes — and many GNDU students do exactly this. Weekend batches (Sat-Sun 10 AM-1 PM) and evening sessions are designed to fit GNDU weekday classes. Graduating job-ready saves you 12-18 months of post-graduation upskilling.
How does the MITS AI/ML course differ from GNDU's on-campus AI/ML?
GNDU teaches strong theoretical foundations (great for academia). MITS focuses on 2026-current production skills: ChatGPT Plus + Claude Pro access, RAG pipelines on AWS, fine-tuning open-source LLMs with LoRA, building agentic AI with LangGraph. These are exactly what Mohali/Bangalore AI engineer interviews test.
Is there a GNDU student discount?
Yes — 10% off course fees with valid GNDU student ID. Plus 0% EMI available on fees above ₹20,000.
What are the placement outcomes specifically for GNDU students?
Past GNDU MITS AI/ML graduates have placed at TCS Mohali (Razorpay regional, Mohali AI startups), and remote Bangalore SaaS at ₹6-12 LPA fresher. Top cohort percentile lands ₹10-15 LPA at product companies.
